Paramount Pictures & Skydance viennent conjointement d’annoncer qu’ils démarraient la production sur la suite de Jack Reacher qui s’appelle officiellement Jack Reacher - Never Go Back.

Dans le film reviendra l’inévitable Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation) dans le rôle titre. Ed Zwick (The Last Samurai), réalisera le film sur son propre scénario, co-écrit avec Richard Wenk et Marshall Herskovitz. Cobie Smulders (Avengers L’ère d’Ultron), Danika Yarosh (Heroes Reborn), Austin Hebert (Bonnie and Clyde), Patrick Heusinger (Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton) et Holt McCallany (Gangster Squad) seront aussi à la distribution.

Le film adapte "Never Go Back," le 18ème roman de Lee Child sur le personnage, sorti en 2013.
